Complex industrial automation, integrated from concept to commissioning

Doms Automation delivers turnkey automation projects for industrial manufacturers. We combine robot handling, conveying and autonomous transport within one integrated solution, with engineering, software, production, installation and testing largely handled in-house.

Automation where processes come together

Products and materials need to be picked, moved, positioned, buffered or transferred from one process step to the next. Once several machines and technologies interact, the performance of the entire production flow becomes increasingly important.

Doms Automation looks at that complete flow and determines which combination makes technical and operational sense. From one specific handling application to an integrated system in which robots, conveyors and autonomous vehicles work together.

All technical disciplines with one partner

01

Engineering before equipment

The starting point is the production flow: what needs to happen, under which conditions and at what capacity. Only then do we define the automation concept and select the technologies required to achieve it.

02

Designed as one system

Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and software are developed together. Robots, conveyors, mobile systems and existing production equipment are therefore considered as parts of the same process.

Built for industrial reality

The system has to perform reliably in the actual production environment. Safety requirements, available space, accessibility, regulation, product variation and operating conditions are all taken into account during engineering.

Ready for future changes

Capacity requirements, product flows and layouts can evolve. Where relevant, we anticipate future expansion or adjustments during the design phase.

From concept to commissioned system

Doms takes responsibility across the full project scope. The main technical disciplines are available within the same organisation, allowing teams to work directly with each other throughout the project.

01

Consulting & concept

We analyse the production flow, automation potential and technical requirements.

02

Engineering

Mechanical and electrical engineering are developed together, with software and controls included from the start.

03

Production & assembly

Mechanical components are produced in-house and the system is assembled before installation.

04

Software & testing

The automation software is programmed and the installation is extensively tested before it is shipped to site.

05

Installation & commissioning

Our team installs the system and validates its operation within the actual production environment.

06

Service

After commissioning, Doms remains available for service and technical support on the systems we deliver.

From family business to multidisciplinary automation team

Doms Automation grew from a family business into a multidisciplinary automation company. That background is still reflected in how we work today: short communication lines, direct collaboration between technical disciplines and shared responsibility for the final system.
Mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software engineers, production and service teams work within the same organisation and on the same projects.

Frequently asked questions

What types of companies does Doms Automation work with?

We work with industrial companies where products are manufactured, processed, packaged or moved internally. Our expertise is particularly relevant for complex production environments where several automation disciplines need to work together.

Does Doms deliver complete automation systems or individual applications?

Both. A project can range from a specific robot cell, conveying system or autonomous transport application to a fully integrated turnkey automation system combining several technologies.

How much of each automation system is customised?

We reuse proven technology, engineering knowledge and existing building blocks wherever this makes sense. The solution is then adapted to the specific process, production environment, regulations and technical requirements of the application.

Can Doms manage the complete project?

Yes. Doms can support a project from consulting and concept development through engineering, software, production and assembly to testing, installation and commissioning.

Does Doms provide service after commissioning?

Yes. We provide service and technical support for the automation systems delivered by Doms.

The future of automation

Smaller batches, more product variations and changing material flows are creating new requirements for industrial automation. At the same time, AI, mobile robotics and humanoid robots are opening up applications that were previously difficult to automate.

Doms investigates where these technologies already offer practical value, where further development is still required and how they can be integrated with proven industrial automation.
